Dear Ms. Vetter,
Please consider the following 1,000 word creative nonfiction piece “Scrambled Eggs,” that details some of the more unusual (and perhaps outrageous) “activities” I participated in while traveling in Australia. It is a humorous, light hearted piece that I think will fit in well with CICADA’s “Expressions” feature of the magazine.
I am student at Rowan University majoring in Writing Arts and Creative Writing. As a science fiction/fantasy enthusiast, most of my works have suggestions of bizarre elements, the paranormal and strange happenings. Much of my writing is inspired through observation—I love to watch, to listen, and to learn. A great story can be crafted out of even just one word! I have had short fiction pieces published in Rowan’s literary magazine Avant and Rancocas Valley Regional High School’s Lit Mag.
Please let me know if you are interested and thank you for considering “Scrambled Eggs.”
Sincerely,
Casey Otto
